Managing Partner, Founder & CEO
Kern Singh is a Managing Partner, Founder & CEO of the Singh Law Firm, and has served as trusted counsel to his clients for over a decade. He is recognized as Northern California’s premier and most-sought after Estate Planning Attorney. Mr. Singh is also renowned as the preeminent attorney for Advanced Estate Planning, specializing in Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) Issues, Start-Ups, Estate Taxes, IPOs, and Liquid Events all within the Estate Planning wheel-house.
Mr. Singh began his career under Vice President Kamala Harris at the San Francisco County District Attorney’s Office before transitioning to private practice. At the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Singh honed his lawyering skills which made a seamless transition to being a private practitioner.
Mr. Singh has been named “Super Lawyer Rising Star,” by SuperLawyers (a distinction awarded only to the top 2.5% of Attorneys in the country), and is a noted “Superb Attorney” with a 10/10 rating on Avvo. Mr. Singh is the industry leader in Estate Planning, and has prided himself on being the best for his clients.
Outside of the office, Mr. Singh devotes his time and attention to his wife, his two lovely daughters, and his dog. Mr. Singh and his family are avid tennis players, skiers, and sailors. As a family, they also have a keen interest in equestrian sports and are sure to take a yearly trip to Disneyland amongst their other adventures.
Mr. Singh holds a dual Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science and Criminology from UC Irvine and a Juris Doctorate from Monterey College of the Law.

Sharmila Singh is a Founding Partner of the Singh Law Firm, and has served as a heart-felt advisor to her clients for over a decade. Mrs. Singh is known for her ability to work with her clients intimately and warmly, and her clients continue to rely on her as a trusted lawyer and confidante.
Mrs. Singh began her career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a tax consultant where she learned the fundamentals of taxation which blended well into her private practice of Estate Planning. Mrs. Singh opened the doors of the Singh Law Firm in January of 2010 and the firm has been the industry Estate Planning leader since then.
Mrs. Singh’s passion for helping each client that walks through her doors has translated into earning the accolade of “Super Lawyer Rising Star” by SuperLawyers, which is awarded only to the top 2.5% of Attorneys in the nation.
In her personal time, Mrs. Singh is devoted to spending time with her husband, her two daughters, and to walking her dog. Mrs. Singh enjoys keeping a tidy home, playing leisurely tennis, and is keen on baking and cooking all of her family’s food at home. With the family, Mrs. Singh’s favorite activities are hunting for shells on the beach, taking family walks, and watching her daughters horseback ride
Mrs. Singh holds a Bachelor of Science from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a Juris Doctorate from UC Hastings College of the Law.

Gavin Brar is an outstanding provider to the Singh Law Firm’s clients. Mr. Brar works one-on-one with all clients, and has an exceptional ability to make personal connections with each and every individual he meets.
Mr. Brar began his career at the Singh Law Firm handling client intake and refining the trust transfer deed processing department within the practice. As he mastered all of the behind-the-scenes work, his dedication to the clientele shaped his role as a true client relationship manager. Mr. Brar is equipped to engage with all clients who walk through the Singh Law Firm’s doors.
Outside of the office, Mr. Brar is an excellent and adventurous cook, a weight-lifting enthusiast, and has recently added cocktail mixology to his list of hobbies. Mr. Brar also enjoys attending San Francisco Giants baseball games whenever he can.
Mr. Brar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from San Jose State University.

Michelle Gonzales has been an integral member of the Singh Law Firm since the foundational years of the practice. Mrs. Gonzales is an expert in all aspects of client relationships, revocable trust funding education, and works directly with clients to update and amend their existing Estate Plans.
In the office, Mrs. Gonzales is known for her patience, her warmth, and her meticulous care of each and every client she meets. Her skills as a paralegal have grown exponentially since she began her career at the Singh Law Firm and is now established as the head of her department.
On the weekend, Mrs. Gonzales will be found adventuring all across California with her husband. She and her husband have been known to take weekend road trips across the state border, as well. Mrs. Gonzales is dedicated to hiking, reading, and pampering her rescue pup, Loki.
Mrs. Gonzales is actively obtaining her degree at Ohlone College while working a full-time schedule.

Lucia Ruiz brings 18 years of experience in administration to the Singh Law Firm. Ms. Ruiz provides superb support from start to finish to all of Singh Law Firm’s clients, from scheduling to fact gathering. Usually the first point of contact with the firm, Ms. Ruiz provides warmth and sound guidance as Singh Law Firm’s Client Concierge through the life of our Client’s Estate Plan.
Ms. Ruiz holds an Associate of Arts degree from Las Positas College in Livermore.

Esteban Santillan has become an icon at the Singh Law Firm. Clients routinely call the office and look to speak directly with Mr. Santillan as his customer service cannot be paralleled. He started his career at the Singh Law Firm as a receptionist and quickly sky-rocketed to client coordinator due to his affability and keen sense of understanding the client’s needs.
Mr. Santillan makes it a point to hand-hold each and every client, in order to ensure that each client fully understands the Estate Planning process at the Singh Law Firm. Mr. Santillan has also expanded his role as the in-house marketing expert. His nature and demeanor are both infectious and genuine, and Mr. Santillan takes pride in his craft.
Mr. Santillan will always be spotted living life to the fullest during his free time. Mr. Santillan is an avid hiker, excellent swimmer, dog lover, and enjoys restoring vintage vehicles. Mr. Santillan also makes the effort to take at least one annual trip to an international destination off the beaten path.
Mr. Santillan holds his Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University.
